Receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Maryknoll College, Mrs. Tumpalan has been a major key player in the marketing sector for the past twelve (12) years, mainly in the Philippine Shoe Industry. Her expertise in shoe design was borne out of her in-depth training under several internationally renowned consultants who are considered experts in their fields: Peter Kern � a German shoe designing technology expert from PK Consult; Sigfried Laure � a German shoe last master from Fagus; Marco Nesti � an Italian shoe designer from Pakerson; and Adeline Lenkek � a German shoe designer from Salamander. Mrs. Tumpalan is currently one of the leading shoe fashion trend and market information consultants in the country. She has represented the Philippines in various trade fairs, expositions, and conventions in Asia and the United States. Apart from this, she is also the General Manager of the family-owned D. Tactacan Shoe Factory.
